Barcelona has since last December a new restaurant that pays homage to Venezuelan gastronomy: Medio or Pinto.
According to the owners of the business, Carolina Marín and Christian Lamprea, Medio or Pinto "aims to modernize Creole cuisine" from the mixture of Venezuelan and Catalan cultures.
Recipes such as the arepitas de chicharrón, the tequeños with mole of papelón, vuelve a la vida or the version of the corbullón made with cod are part of the menu of this restaurant. There are also traditional Venezuelan desserts, among which are the tocinillo de cielo with caramel in textures and pistachio with pink salt, buñuelos con papelón or cuatro leches.
Medio o Pinto is located on Calvet Street 27 and has a lunch menu of 15 euros, a Venezuelan tasting menu of 50 euros, as well as a wide range of dishes to snack on.
