From June 1st to 3rd Barcelona will become the world capital of the fight against LGBTIphobia as the host of the first international meeting of Observatories that fight against attacks against the LGTBI collective.
With the collaboration of the State Federation of Lesbians, Gays, Transsexuals and Bisexuals and under the title 'New spaces for the conquest of Human Rights', the meeting aims to become a place of exchange of experiences and debate among the entities and agents that work in this area with the aim of knowing what is happening in other countries and the work of prevention, denunciation and intervention against LGTBIphobia around the world.
Over three days, the event will hold talks and round tables in which they will talk about how and where the Observatories intervene, how hate speeches are carried out from these organizations, the protocols for registering LGTBIphobia actions, the accompaniment psychosocial as a tool of empowerment for victims and the debate between freedom of expression and hate speech, among other issues.
The meeting will be opened by the Vice President of the European Parliament and the driving force in the European Union against homophobia and discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender, Ulrike Lunacek.
Registration is now open, and the price ranges between 85 and 100 euros per person.
